A wise person once said, “Volunteers don’t get paid; not because they’re worthless, but because they’re priceless.”
Volunteers are the engines that propel all the programs of the PLIA.
Without them, milfoil would not be found, marked, and extracted.
Boats would not be inspected coming into the lake. Water would not be regularly sampled and sent to the labs for testing.
Our stretch of Route 156 would not be cleared of litter.
Concerts and boat parades would not be organized and Paddle Poker would not take place.
The business of the lake association – including applying for grants, keeping our supporters informed, monitoring all our programs and committees, collaborating with state and local agencies, and building ties with the Town of Nottingham – would not be conducted.
Our gratitude to our volunteers is boundless. 
To a large extent they are unsung heroes, quietly getting on with the business of keeping the lake safe and healthy without fanfare. To correct this, we would like to publicly acknowledge and thank our many volunteers. Below is a list of all the wonderful people who regularly donate their time and energy for the good of the entire lake community.
